What will PE look like 10 years from now?
...That is the fundamental question I wish to explore on this site. I am specifically interested in how technology will be integrated into the world of physical education (PE). New technologies are constantly emerging, but are they useful in a content area based on movement? As I move forward, I will be analyzing technologies in an effort to see if they can augment what we are currently doing in PE, if they allow us to modify what we are currently doing in a significant redesign of lessons, or if they will allow us to completely redesign our lessons to accomplish new tasks that were previously inconceivable. I'll also attempt to identify which technologies are not currently appropriate for use in the PE world.
Feel free to read my blogs on emerging instructional technologies and to participate in a dialogue on the blog page. Your feedback on what has worked and not worked for you is welcome and may help drive what PE will look like in our fully technologically integrated classrooms of the future.
